Summer rehearsals take place for the band every Thursday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, percussion practices are Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm
Pre-Orkney Rehearsals
Mandatory for all TJMC
- August 16-18 4:00pm - 8:30pm :: Come one of these three days for uniform fittings. Vets should come Tuesday if they want their uniforms from last year. Also, meetings with student leadership.
- August 17 & 18 8:00am - 4:00pm :: Full day rehearsal for rookies, guard, drumline, and leadership. SL's will be tested on music for SSB, Across the Field, and the whole of Jekyll and Hyde.
- August 19 8:00am - 4:00pm and August 20 9:00am - 3:00pm :: Full day rehearsal for all TJMC. Music tests will be held by Ms. Ulrey and the student staff, and will encompass the same pieces as above.
During the School Year
- Sectionals on Mondays from 4:20pm to 5:50pm
- Full TJMC rehearsals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:15pm to 7:00pm, beginning Tuesday, September 7
Note: Practices end after late buses depart. A list of TJMC members sorted by zip code will be available later in the season.

The varsity football team provides the opening and closing entertainment to TJMC home shows. All marchers must be in uniform with their instruments on Weyanoke field at 6:00pm. Dismissal will follow march back to the band room at approximately 10:30pm.
Away games include a voluntary pep band that leaves TJHSST at 6:30pm and returns at approximately 11:00pm. Each game will have a sign up sheet; marchers receive letter points for participation.

As of pre-camp, these dates are TENTATIVE. However. All Marchers should plan to attend ALL competitions, and should commit the entire day to TJMC. Each competition day will begin with a 2-hour rehearsal at TJHSST, followed by a snack, pack out, then travel.
